Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor provides support in the overall operations of the department, inclusive of manpower management, inventory optimization, and the overall maintenance of the work area and the company’s assets. The Supervisor leads by example in delivering excellent service to customers and adherence to all policies and procedures to ensure the everyday operations are effectively executed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises team members and ensures compliance with all rules and regulations including HSE rules.
•  Creates, implements, and executes effective processes to ensure inventory is efficiently ordered, received, and maintained
• Assists in maintaining and receiving inventor
• Monitors all incoming and outgoing materials in the warehouse
• Ensures that the security of the premises and goods is optimum
• Ensures that materials are stocked safely and in their assigned spaces
• Assist with customer complaints and queries
• Oversees and co-ordinates the traffic flow of vehicles coming in and out of the warehouse
• Ensures employees comply with all personal protective equipment requirements and policy
• Ensures that there is no unauthorized use of company equipment.
• Promotes statutory standards on safety and health.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar or related field;
• Proficient experience in the construction or hardware industry will be an asset
• Working knowledge of inventory management will be an asset
• Certification in Health and Safety will be an asset
• Certification in Supervisory Management will be an asset
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work on Saturdays
