Medical Sales Representative

A.A. Laquis (Trinidad) Limited is seeking a Medical Sales Representative


The incumbent will be responsible for promoting and selling medical devices, equipment and/or consumables through assigned channels of distribution – (Hospitals, Clinics, Laboratories, Educational Institutions, Industrial and Manufacturing businesses, healthcare professionals and organizations) throughout Trinidad and Tobago.


The ideal candidate is expected to perform or coordinate product demonstrations and deliver presentations to key users, purchasers and decision makers of such medical devices, equipment and/or consumables.  The target audience for such demonstrations is varied and includes but is not limited to surgeons, doctors and nurses, company and department managers, purchasing and procurement staff.


Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • Supporting merchandising and promotional activities related to assigned brands
    Ensuring adequate product distribution of assigned products
  • Create awareness of and generate interest in company’s products through sound product knowledge
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing customers
  • Manage collections on sales
  • Provide quality customer service support
  • Interfacing with customers on a day to day basis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Sales and customer service experience will be an asset.
  • Any formal medical training will be an asset  – nursing, first aid, CPR. HSSE/EHS.
  • Basic to intermediate level computer literacy – general proficiency in Microsoft word/power point/excel.
  • Must be organized, self motivated, persistent committed and a team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license
  • May be required to work occasionally on weekends and public holidays
  • Must have a valid passport


Experience and Qualification

  • At least 5 O’Level passes including Mathematics and English
  • Advance Level  GCE/CAPE will be preferred
  • Any medical training certification would be an asset.
  • Any certifications in Sales, Marketing, Customer Services or equivalent combination of completed courses, seminars, workshops with accredited, reputable institutions.
  • Experience in medical sales would be an asset.
