A.A Laquis (Trinidad) Ltd is seeking a Key Account Sales Representative


 JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Key Account Sales Representative reports to the Key Account Manager, Category Manager – Consumer and Divisional Manager Consumer Division

The responsibilities of this position include but is not limited to the following:

  • Delivery of budgeted divisional sales targets through Key Accounts
  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly sales report.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Enhances product knowledge by learning product literature
  • Securing distribution of new products in key accounts and improving distribution of all products in the Supermarket, Pharmacy, Variety Stores and Wholesale Channels
  • Achieving collections targets Supermarket Channel -55 days, Pharmacies 45 days, Wholesalers 60 days, PCL 55 days
  • Arranging key account meetings with key customers
  • Tracking daily sales and providing updates to the sales team
  • Management of sub-distributors
  • Ensuring proper order generation and stock rotation to minimize sales returns from key account customers
  • Ensuring optimal product visibility by negotiation of primary and secondary locations
  • Management of gondola and in-aisle rentals by ensuring invoices are received and processed within 30 days of being due keeping track of current shelf space by store by updating spreadsheet in Shared Drive and ensuring rentals are mutually agreed and documented and the payments are up to date with KAS
  • Arranging co-op ad specials with Key Accounts on a monthly basis
  • Management of stock rotation in all key classes of trade to minimize sales returns of expired products
  • Management of damaged goods on trade to protect the interest of AAL in the case of mishandling by customers
