Human Resource Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a highly focused, detail oriented and results driven individual to fill the role of Human Resources Manager (HRM). The HRM is responsible for all Functional areas of the Human Resources Department, which includes, Recruitment, Payroll, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Engagement, Training and Development, Industrial Relations and general HR Administration.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall Human Resources Administration, Policies and Procedures and directs and leads the HR Team to maintain a high standard of efficiency and effectiveness with HR Operations.
- Responsible for leading and monitoring the performance management cycle on a yearly basis and for initiating improvements to the Performance Management System
- Has oversight of the Human Resource Information System and ensures the integrity of data within the system.
- Ensures that the Recruitment and Training and Development are undertaken to attract the right talent to the organization and to provide development and career opportunities to employees.
- Preparation and subsequent management of Human Resources and employee costs budgets
- Provide advice and support to all Business Units with regard to employee issues
- Management of the Payroll process and all related activities
- Manages relations with the Recognized Majority Union and is the internal advisor on all Industrial Relations matters.
- Provides support to the Senior Leadership and Management Teams with respect to all organizational development activities and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborates with regional Managers to ensure that regional development initiatives and projects are effectively completed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or equivalent degree
- Post Graduate Certification in Human Resource Management would be considered an asset
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in the Human Resources Management – 5 of which should be in a managerial position
- Experience in the use of an HRIS System
- Must have a high level of energy and is focused on continuous improvement
- Good understanding of current trends in HRM
